Bali Provincial Government kept trying to strengthen the competitiveness of products or export commodities.<

These efforts included identifying problems, then finding solutions. For the initial stage, fashion products would be strengthened first, then various craft industries. This was to deal with the increasingly fierce global market competition.

Head of the Bali Province Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag), Putu Astawa, said Monday (3/12). "Because if it stops, and does not make any efforts to strengthen it, we will lose," Astawa said.

For this reason, Disperindag was not reluctant to cooperate with outside parties (private) to ‘strengthen’ the competitiveness of Bali's export products, including PT PAN Brothers Tbk, a holding company in Tanggerang Banten. "This is to expand market access," Astawa explained. "Because as good as the product, in the end there must be someone who buys. Purchased because people like it," Astawa continued. Therefore, private parties that could expand market access and rebranding products were invited and asked for assistance.

For the first stage, fashion products would be strengthened by branding. These include the technical production, packaging, and distribution processes. "This effort will be carried out in the form of groups or cooperatives of MSMEs, making it easier to provide rebranding training," he explained.

After fashion, other products such as handicrafts, fisheries, and plantations were pursued in the same way. "Everything is aimed at increasing our foreign trade," he said.

While from Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), Bali's exports in October reached 53.9 million US dollars, an increase of 13.44 percent from last September. The increase in exports was dominant because the surge in exports to China was 92 percent more. The value was 3.3 million US dollars. However, this surge in exports to China had not been able to exceed the American market which donated 27 percent of Bali's total exports. One product that experienced a surge in exports was apparel products not knitted. *k17 *ph
